New Build House // Stoke Hammond

Sargeant Architects explored several different options for a landowner on the design of an infill development on part of their garden in Stoke Hammond, Buckinghamshire. The site is located on the edge of the village adjacent to a main railway line.

The option chosen by the Client was for a single, detached, 4-bedroom house. The design is based on a traditional barn typology and is articulated through the use of standing seam zinc, buff brickwork detailing and triple glazed aluminium windows. The house has been designed as a low energy, low impact development that will incorporate high levels of thermal insulation, an air or ground source heat pump for heating and hot water and triple glazed windows for insulation and sound proofing.

Sargeant Architects have secured planning permission for this development. The Client is currently exploring options to appoint a developer to construct the house.
